we're off to the woods to kill the year king
two hoops at right angle held aloft we'll bring
we'll hunt him and tire him off of the wing
and that's how we'll make capture of the year king
his clothes will be all torn, his shoes will be all worn
he'll suffer the same fate as john barleycorn
crashing through the undergrowth we seek that cheerful heart
he's up and off the fencepost with a sudden start
an army of small footprints behind us in the dirt
the gap between closes like the buttons on his brown shirt
his clothes are all torn, his shoes are all worn
he's suffered the same fate as john barleycorn
so it's up with the kettle and down with the pan
won't you give us a penny to bury the wren
It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10. connivingkhajiit
